I post this question again:

I can load .sm files and i can save .sm files. But if i export LODīs, OP crashed.OK it saved something but what happens...
If i export a plane as an .OBJ file and open it with an other software, the plane looks like compressed together. And if i will import an .OPJ file to OP the soft chrases everytime!!!!

So, what do i wrong?

Per Bryan R. - it is broke. He still needs to fine tune that part of the code.

The .OBJ export is exporting all the parts together. Each one is centred about it's own origin, so they all end up one on top of the other. Export just a single part, and it should work a little better.

.OBJ import does work so long as the file has all the parts it needs, adn the material file .MTL extension. LOD import and export is a different thing altogether. Don't know if the export from OPS is functional, but the import is knackered!

What software were you planning to use for modifications? There are ways round these problems, but it depends on your choice of modelling software.

I can get Reflections but if any other Software do a better job with OP? - i listen.

I canīt use AC3D,because i have no credit card like VISA or other to register it,so if you have another soft that will work and wich is not to expensive, tell me.

Don't know that one.

I tried many, many free ways to model for SDOE, but in the end, got my sister to register AC3D for me. I too steer clear of credit cards whenever possible. Nothing else at the price could handle both the file types and the textures. Also, there is a degree of experience with the tool, and no shortage of people willing to offer advice!

The only other route involves software piracy. Depends how you feel about that!

Software piracy isnīt the way i want to go!

Did anyone know the country where AC3D come from? US or GB or what, maybe there is an other way to pay the soft?!

AC3D is a UK product. It's created by Andy Colbourne and he is based at Lancaster University in the UK. Mail the guy and ask him about payment. He is really helpful, and DOES reply to mails. He also pops into the Forum now and again, since we seem to be one of the fastest growing users of his software. I'm sure a cheque or bank draft in UK currency would be fine, but ask him first. Once you are registered, you get access to all the updated releases and bug fixes etc. and good feedback from any bug reports. Couple AC3D up with Hippies .OL tools, and you are all set to model!

Version 3 has been released recently, which was a proper release of the Beta version registered users had access to. This version was needed to support the .OL plugins. The 3 release is far more stable, and has fixed a lot of niggly bugs that caused annoyance. For the money, you really cannot buy a sweeter piece of modelling software.

I have used a lot of packages through contacts, and this one is really good. I tried Rhino, Nendo, Blender, Breeze designer etc. etc. etc. and none have the ease of use and the SDOE friendly features of AC3D.

Get AC3D, Hippies plugins, and an early version of OPS ( I got v1 recently )where the LOD import works along with V1.3 and that does me fine.

Incidentally, I now have access to 3D Max, but I will still be using AC3D!
