Ok. On following some recent advice on updating tnt2 cards with the Det3 drivers I'm experiencing flashing clouds and other objects such as the red & green ID tags and sometimes if I'm really lucky, colliding images of clouds and terrain together. This is really not much chop. It was fine before I upgraded the drivers so I figure I should just reload the original drivers. I was wondering if anybody else has noticed this problem already with the Det3 drivers? Are there any newer drivers available that can fix this problem?

I was running with a Cel 300a overclocked to 450mhz and all was well albeit, the crappy frame rates. As of now I'm running a Cel 566 and it's running comfortably at 850mhz with the voltage at 1.75 volts. 128 meg SDRAM, ABit Bx6 Rev2 MB. Fingers crossed...this cpu really cranks..

Unfortunately though, still getting the flashing graphics in Sdoe but everything else, graphics wise, is great.

I've now downloaded the newer version of the Det3 drivers ie v6.34 as I had downloaded and installed v6.31. Even after having done that I still get the bizarre graphics.

Enuf is enuf. I've uninstalled all the new drivers and reinstalled the originals from the box. No flashing graphics but also now, totally featureless and blurry ground graphics and the images of aircraft take on a much lesser image quality.

If I zoom in it's all fine but as soon as I zoom out those nice roundish fusalages, engines and wing surfaces take on much sharper & thinner lines and some components of planes disappear altogether such as wheels and guns etc. P38's are taking on rectangular tail fins and triangular motors!! Cockpit canopies apper as blue shading etc etc. You cannot even see if your own planes flaps are lowered unless it zoomed in to.

As we say here in Oz..this is really starting to do my head in!

If anybody has any ideas I could try pls let me know as ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.. Thanks.

I am running the same card as you with a
Athlon 550. I upgraded my driver Monday with
no problem. Sorry I don't have much else to
offer, but the drivers do work ok with this card.

I have upgraded to 6.31 on my TNT2 fine with no probs. In the past I reversed a driver upgrade and had same probs with detail, happened to check the detail slider in SDOE setup screen and it was set to min, it had been set to max and I had definately not touched it. Anyway, changed it back up to max and everything ran fine, this only happened on one of my two installs, thats what got me looking at other than the Nvidia tweak settings. Strange but true, give it a try.

Thanks for the advice guys..

I've reloaded the original drivers again and guess what Commando? The object detail had also reset itself to minimum. I reset it to max and it's great now, thanks.. ! I shoulda noticed that myself...doh!

I wish I didn't get the flashing clouds though with the newer drivers. When I get my new GeForce2 MX I'll re-install the new drivers then. Thanks again...
