I believe the aircraft is a Bf110D-1 of JG26 fame off the Libyan coast in 1941. Hey, where did you get that beautiful skin from? Can you please send it to me. That thing is awesome. Thanks, JP (P51mech@aol.com)IP: Logged |

Hi Blitzer, could it be that the BF110 is one of the ZG26(Zerstoerergeschwader) instead of JG26 (Jagdgeschwader)??? Rendsburger

LOVE YOUR SKIN!Ok, the rivetwall.tiff your talking about, well alot of planes tiffs cant be opened. Go to Sv's site, there are some Parsoft tools to fix this. Go here Things you need "Use these tools to decompress the datax.par files and get at the aircraft SM files. You can also use these tools to create your own datax.par files containing your own aircraft. Also included is the "untiff.exe" program that converts the wacky tiff textures into editable tiff files." ------------------ "Don't move, if we scatter, he'll pick us off! Found a picture of that plane in one of my books (well not exactly, its designation was 3U [] B) It looks the same, is also taken over water (there are two in the picture) it says "Rather obvious away from the deserrt theese Bf110Es of II Gruppe of Zerstorergeschwader 26 are in a sand finnish for North African operations early in 1942. Note the white theatre bands toward the rear of the fuselage, and also that the aircraft at the rear lacks the nose emblem." IP: Logged |

Your absolutely correct Rendsburger. It was an error on my part.ZG26 is the correct Gruppe. Found my information in Bill Gunston book named "The Illustrated Directory of Fighting Aircraft of WWII". Another good source of information is Osprey's Aircraft of Aces #25 titled "Messerschmitt Bf110 Zerstorer Aces of World War 2". And I must say that with Alader and your talents, we are sure to get some good looking aircraft in FSDOE. Great job to the both of you. JPIP: Logged |
