What is it and how and where do I unzip it?

it's an upgrade pack containg all the aircraft you need to be compatible with people flying online, it contains maney more new aircraft and updated aircraft than came with the original lame release of SDOE, the plane packs are what makes SDOE brilliant.

Check the README file for installation instructions, and follow them preciesly. If you are unsure how to get the readme file without extracting, then first extract to a new empty folder and read it from there.
