I am running SDOE on an older computer and normally the game runs fine other than being slow. But lately when I play, as soon as the flight loads and the instrument panel come up the game crashes. If anyone can help I would greatly, and I mean greatly, appreciate it. Thanks

That's a sign that you are missing some lines in your startup.ppf file. Check the readme files of the planes which are crashing and see if it contains a new startup line to add.

That's the thing though, this happens with the default planes. I haven't even tried any add on planes. I don't get it?

What missions are you flying them in? If they are user made missions the mission may be calling for a plane or object you haven't downloaded yet.

If you are flying default out-of-the-box planes and getting CTD's in default out-of-the-box missions then I don't have a clue, but my advice would be to reinstall FS.

P.S. When you say older computer...how much RAM and what video card do you have? Too little RAM or too old a card could do it too.

I've had it happen to me with some of the more complex missions (read Jeeves' ) and I have 96MB with a Voodoo 2 and a 266PII. Old and slow by SDOE standards but works with most missions offline.

Thanks Jerry. I reinstalled it and seems to be working now. I have a 233pI with an ATI rage card I don't know how much ram it has.
