When building new missions I now have new theaters of war, SnowyDover, Midway and The Pacific.
When I select SnowyDover and the Pacific theatres I get.."Requires file Mission Editor/snowydover/snowydover.sm not found"
.."Requires file Mission Editor/pacific/pacific.sm not found"

I can get the Midway map and can edit missions but when I select the new Midway mission from within the game I do not get the Midway mission map. I get the Dover map? The mission plays fine though?

I did create a Midway folder in Mission Editor. In the folder is a textures folder.

What should be in the Mission Editor folder?
Can I reinstal the theaters?

Did you download Midway from Nats site?
you need the big Texture zip and the SM zip. These extract into the correct folders. I had no problems with it.

My mission editor also shows the extra terrains, but I don't have them downloaded.
This was perhaps why the editor wouldn't let you play with them. There are 2 midway SM files, 1 for the editor and 1 for the terain. Check you have both.

Hope this helps

it sounds like you've downloaded a terrain that has updated your missioneditor.ppf file putting in references to terrain you don't actualy have, from the sounds of it you don't have snowydover or Midway, if you want to use them you will need to download them from my site. If you have downloaded them, then they are not correctly installed

I have just noticed that I have a WW1, A-36a Campaign and Test missions theatres selection from within the SDOE game but I can't save to it when using mission editor. They are not there. But I can use them from within the game. Some missions are already there!
gggrrrrrmmmmmmmmfffffffftttt!!!!

I feel as if i've messed things a little and it feels like a total reinstall.
hope not.
I have downloaded the Midway Files but I don't remember downloading the SnowyDover file?
If I reinstall will I delete the old files prior to the install?

Check this. Go into your Media folder and open up your terrain folder. What is in there? Go back into your Media folder and open up your missionseditor folder. Again, what is in there? The contents of both folders should match ie; you should have Midway and Snowy Dover folders. Now go up into your Media folder and open up your missions folder. There should be a gang of folders in there ie; Midway, SnowyDover, Test missions, A36 campaign...all this folder really does is group a bunch of missions and make a directory in your missions list from WITHIN the game.
As far as the Pacific when you open up your mission editor, I can tell you there is no Pacific. That was put there in the hopes of one day we would get a generic Pacific map.

There was a Pacific Beta, it was the Tundra terrain with a sea texture replacing the snow etc, it looked funny with mountainous seas LOL. Good enough when there was nothing else but Midway has took its place for obvious reasons.

Pogo--

The reason why you don't see folders for the missions like A36Campaign, WWI, and Test are because they may be wrapped up in one of the par files in your media folder. You can add any new campaigns you want just by making a new folder and naming it what you want...if you make a mission and put it in that folder, it'll show up in the game.

I also have those terrains listed in my ME, but I too don't have them all--- I would highly suggest the Midway terrain though- if at least for no other reason than to have great frame rates with LOTS of planes

I already know whats happend, he didn't read the readme file that came with Midway, and has let it overwrite his old missioneditor.ppf file.

The ppf file that comes with Midway has my missioneditor.ppf file with it, which included refs to Pacific, Snowy Dover and Midway, so concequently they show up when using mission editor, but they actually don't exhist and SDOE always defaults to Dover when the terrain is nonexhisant.

Igone the terrains that you don't have, or simply delete them from your missioneditor.ppf file and they wont show up in Mission Editor again.
