After almost every online game I somehow get kicked off the server I'm on and either cdt or crash to the main menu.It used to simply return me to the FS Lobby. I almost exclusively use the Cal 12 Server but I find that it makes no real difference with what server I am on. If it throws me to the main menu instead of a total cdt I have to completely exit FS to the desk top and then rejoin FS, choose pilot name, network, etc etc. I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything to do with FS a few times and still the same result.

This is really starting to P*SS ME OFF.

Any ideas/help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well this is my first post after about month of not posting. I really didn't want to post on FSIC again but I understand what you are going through. I had the same thing happen to me for about a month. You go online, play a mission then after the mission was over two things could happen to you. One: you get back to the lobby but then in less than one minute you lost your net connection. Two: You ctd and lost your net connection. What cleared it up for me was to defag my harddrive, everything has been fine since then. Try defagging your harddrive and see if that clears it up for you.

Hahaha you nutters!

Himdog I was and I wasn't hoping you would say that..lol.

Btw, it's Karaya 2=FC= here.. pyker was my original sign on name. Thanks for your advice Him. I have been trying to defrag my 2 gig C Drive for months now but the bloody thing wont go past 10% and then it resets constantly. It will do this for 2 days straight if I let it. The *&^%$#@ thing just wont defrag. I have five other hard drives within this pc and all of them defrag without any probs whatsoever. Most contain data files, mp3's and one is a 2 gig drive just for FS-Sdoe. I have nothing FS-Sdoe loaded to the C Drive.

I know that if I can just get it to defrag, then a LOT of other probs I'm having with the PC will get rectified all at once.

Once again thanks for your advice.

Karaya when I defragged my harddrive the first time I forgot to turn off my screen saver, so mine did the same thing your is doing, get something like 10% then start all over, did this for hours. I know you are turning off your screen saver but if you are not turn it off and see what happens. Hope this helps. I got cable now , so the next time we are online I'll host!

Running no screen saver at all.

I shut down all non essential programs such as that and anti-virus, nuke-nabber etc etc.

I wonder if it's a case of my Celeron 300a and 128meg of sd ram not being powerful enough to run and defrag five separate drives totalling 19gig in disc space????? But like I said, I can easily defrag all the other drives except C drive which is only 2 gig in size. No kidding..the other day I defragged four drives with about 17gig worth of large files both data and mp3s without a problem at all. I then tried to defrag the C drive. It went for over 28 hours and stayed on 10%.

I also ran scan disc to check for any errors on the disc and it came through clean. I then tried to run scan disc in thorough mode and guess what? It too kept restarting after only about 10 to 25% done and then came up with msgs saying that it could not continue after 10 restarts!!!!

what to do? what to do?

I guess the only thing I can do now is to
F Disc the bloody thing do a complete reinstall...

Thanks anyway guys.
