Hey, just finally started online flying! Great! My handle is CatScratchFever. Problem: after flying the first mission with no problems, when it is time for the second mission the crate crashes to desktop. Any ideas?IP: Logged |

Hey Wil, how's it goingWell, I doubt I can be much help, I had this very same problem for months, it was that bad I gave up flying online, I got back to it, be I'm normally to busy building to fly these days, anyway, you're problem.. I have no idea what caused it, I started a massive thread about it back in Feb. and a few others had it aswell. The only way I ever got it fixed was reinstalling Windows to a new directory, not overwriting the windows you have now. That solved the problem, but it does mean that you would need to re-instal most programs on your computer. Not a nice option I know, but it worked for me, I'm good with PC's, but I just couldn't find what had caused this, and I dug into everything for a month before deciding to reinstal. ~Nat~ IP: Logged |

Thanks for the input Nat. Don't be upset if I pass on your option for now! I'll experiment a little before I op for a brain transplant... Besides I'm kind of in the same boat, free time is mostly messing with this project, test flights, etc.. It would be nice relief though a couple of online flights without people thinking I'm a jerk for just cutting out...IP: Logged |

Wil the ctd are a pain. I don't think people will think you are a jerk, we are most likely saying "Looks like CSF just ctd". As for the problem, I don't know, sorry. I try not to have too many programs running when playing sdoe, like icq and if I'm not using rw I'll close it to. I also try not to "alt-tab" and "alt-shift" (I think that one is right) too much. If I keep ctding, like two or three times in a row, I'll get out of sdoe and run another program, close that program then start sdoe again (Luny came up with that one). This has worked every time for me. I know this is not much but maybe it'll help some. JG3_Himdog outIP: Logged | |
