i can not get the guns in the b17 to fire. any help?

When you switch to the gunners positions using F7 make sure you press F6 to take control of the gun.

not on the B17, as this aircraft never had guns fired byt the pilot, but you can in the Ju88 and varients thereof

I believe the chin turret was operated by the bombardier and/or navigator, definitely not the pilot.
