I wanted a separate 1.5 only version of SDOE on my hard drive that didn't affect my current version. I thought others may be interested in how I did it:-Don't use the installer, we'll do it by hand...
1. Insert SDOE CD
2. Browse CD to "setup" folder
3. Copy the whole "sdoe" folder to your hard drive
4. Make a coffee while it copies the files to your hard drive 
5. Find your 1.5 patch file (fspatch150.exe) and right-click on it, select "Open with WinZip" option.
6. Extract the two files (patchdos.exe and atoc.rtp) to your new "sdoe" folder on your hard drive
7. run "patchdos.exe" that is now inside your new "sdoe" folder.
8. When prompted for a patch file type "./atoc.rtp" --- Note the "." and "/" are needed.
9. Make a shortcut to your new sdemons.exe
10. Edit the path in "sdemons.ini" to reflect your new install path.
Done! You just need to set up your options etc.
