I'm having a severe problem. After playing for 10-30 minutes, I get a rainbow effect on most terrain, and sometimes on planes. Sometimes the planes go solid black. After about 3-4 minutes the screen freezes, and I have to reboot my machine. Any help is appreciated.------------------ "Graphics Boy" Jeisai IP: Logged |

this sounds like a graphics card problem to me.. make sure you have the most upto date drivers you can find, plus DirectX7a, that being said, you should also try deleting the cache files within the SDOE directory, don't worry, the game will replace them, just remember that until you have "re-cached" each terrain games will take a little longer to start than before.IP: Logged |

I have the most up to date drivers... I have a Voodoo3 3000 PCI, and I just downloaded the newest drivers, deleted the cache files. It still crashed, but this time I didn't see any multicolored terrain. I think I have D7a, but if I don't, I'll go get it.------------------ "Graphics Boy" Jeisai IP: Logged |

I had this problem with a TNT 32 and FS would crash after a few minutes of play.I'm no tech head, but I think its got something to do with mother board compatibility (atleast mine did). Is this a new computer? IP: Logged |

I don't know if this helps but I have had some games not work correctly, or slowly becuase of outdated motherboard drivers in Win98. Also overclocking on some MBs can cause a problem to video cards if the entire system is OC'ed, especially when lots of data is being transferred to the card. Also, bear in mind that when it comes to Video card drivers, latest is not always greatest. Are you running the V3 in Glide or D3D? You could try using D3D instead of Glide or Glide instead of D3D. IP: Logged |

I use Glide mode, but I have tried D3D and have had the same problem. I have a PII 450, with 128mb ram... I have no idea what type of motherboard I have. It's not overclocked either.------------------ "Graphics Boy" Jeisai IP: Logged |

for your V3 3000, do you have the latest certified drivers, the hack drivers or the beta drivers? I suggest using the certified ones. I have a V3 3000 AGP and use them. This also could be a cooling issue. I suggest jimmy rigging a fan to your card as I did. I would also use the 1.5 patch for SDOE put out by the game creators. When I installed MHs patch my textures did some wierd things so I deleted it. Also look in your BIOS and make sure the video bios shadow and video bios cache are off and make sure your card has an IRQ assigned to it. Last but not least try turning off some of the options of D3D and GLIDE in your Display Panel under Settings-Advanced-3dfx Tweaks menu.IP: Logged |

I had the latest certifieds, then I downloaded the betas hoping it would fix the problem. The only thing is - this is the only game I have this trouble with. I also have v 1.5 It didn't do it before that.------------------ "Graphics Boy" Jeisai IP: Logged |
