Just picked up SDOE a few days ago and have been trying to get the stick and throttle setup as close as i can to how it is setup on my other sims. Have been making fairly good progress digging throuh the Keyboard.inp file but have a few questions.

Is there a command that I could use in there that would allow me to toggle through the guns like you can toggle through the weapons, something like the inpWeaponsStationSelect cmd but for the guns instead of the weapons. thuys allowing me to toggle through the gun choices using one button on the stick.

When I padlock in on a target I get somekind of autoZoom thing going on. THis is extremely annoying to me how can I disable it so that I get no zoom thing going on while in padlock view?

I thought that holding the shift key while using the default hat would cause it to pan. This doesnt work. I have programed it to pan on the second hat on my stick but if it is possible to program the default hat to snap views and make it so that holding down the shift key while using the default hat pans I would really like to get my second hat back so as to keep it as close as possible to the way I have my other sims set up, So is there a way to do this?

I'm really not sure ! But as long as I know you can choose between guns and cannons with the keys 1-3, so there should be a command in the keyboard file for this. I did not exactly understand what you want, so just give it a try...

padlock-zooming-syndrom and panning -->no idea

sorry - not much help

Download SDOE Control. You can adjust your zoom controls easily and I think set your padlock zoom level.

Do you have 4-way or 8-way hat? I know that with the 8-way that holding down the shift (or control?) will give you a pan.

You can also use your mouse for panning. Let us know if you are interested in this, it requires a minor change in your keyboard .ini file.

Ok got the control utility and fixed the padlock Zoom, many thanks that was really annoying me. I have a 4 way Hat(CH CombatStick). Shift doesnt seem to work with it, Will try control. Not really interested in using the mouse for zoom would much prefer to program the default Hat on my stick to Pan and program straight up and up and back and up views to my other Hat on the stick. THis is the way I try and set up all my sims and im used to it. So if anyone knows how program the POV to pan instead of uing snap views I would greatly appreciate a pointer in the right direction. As far as cycling weapons the line in the inp file pointing to the backspace key is suppose to cycle what? I have yet to see hitting the Key do anything within the game. Maybe I have the wrong weapons load out for it. But what I was after was a similar command that would allow me to cycle the the gun keys 1,2,3 with a single button on the joystick. With the zoom thing fixed the others are kinda minor and looking forward to trying this thing on-liine.
Many Thanks
FD

After some testing I've found that you first have to select a weapon from the keyboard, then cycling through will work.

But just starting by hitting the button doesnt seem to do it.

Jerry, I have an 8-way hat on my Wingman Extreme, but no smooth panning, just snap views.
