My Sidewinder 3D pro started going bad so I picked up the Wingman Extreme today. Does anyone else here use one?I cant get my mappings to work in SDOE. Arm weapons, next target, etc. The buttons I map them to just do their default thing in the game. Is there any way to map my Roger Wilco transmit button to it while using sdoe? It seems like it only lets you apply mappings to one program at a time, when I want the computer to interpret button presses as keystrokes all of the time. IP: Logged |

Falck, be sure you have the latest drivers from logitech 3.30. In the options menu you can check "Apply profile to game". I think you can use it to map to a RW key command. If you use the space bar to transmit in RW the you should be able to map a button to emulate pressing the space bar. I am not sure, but I think this would work. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the X and Y axis. This has been very helpful. While in the profile for SDOE go to the bottom left corner to X-axis, select axis properties, set the sensitivity to low, do the same for the Y axis. I use a Wingman FF with Thurstmaster rudder pedals. What a killer combo. Good luck, I hope this works for you. ------------------ Raider 33rd~GS Raiders Site

3.6 is for Win 2000, 3.3 is for Win 95,98. You should still have the same options. It uses the same drivers weather FF or Extreme. The title of my profiler is "Logitech Wingman Profiler" I use Win 98. ------------------ Raider 33rd~GS Raiders Site

Falck, I've had the Wingmen Extreme Digital 3D stick for months and have had zero problems with key mapping. I just change the SDOE keyboard inp. document to whatever suits me and it works like a charm. Never have needed to use the profiler that comes with the stick. For less than $40, this stick has been a wonderful surprise. I had heard some negative things about it before I bought it, but I gave it a whirl since it was relatively inexpensive compared to a new stick and rudder pedals. I'm glad I did. Good luck with yours. AQIP: Logged |

ARGH!!! It seems to be an issue with SDOE. Mappings are working fine in other programs.IP: Logged |

I agree that its great but the sidewinder 3d pro cost about as much and has universal key mapping thats always on, for about the same price. It wont work with Win2k however.IP: Logged |

Just edit your keyboard.inp file as you like for the button mappings, and it will work great. I did, using a Wingman Interceptor (the one with 3 hat buttons)...it's awesome!I've found that the only time I use the profiler software is if the game code doesn't allow mapping via a keyboard.inp or equivalent (e.g., Jane's WWII Fighters).
