I installed a game (a large one) on my computer for a couple days, and after I uninstalled it and went to play FS it's been taking forever to load up each mission. It's like it's set to "conserve hard drive space" which it's not. Even if I finish a mission and start another one in the same theater, it takes just as long to load the new mission. Is there another factor here I don't know about that can cause it to reload the texture cache after every mission?
Thanks to anyone with an answer (I'll be the last guy into any online mission with this problem).

Have you checked your ini file to be sure conserve hard drive space isn't in there?
Sounds suspect to me.

Have you installed anything else? It sounds like something is eating up all your CPU cycles. Does it keep happening even after you reboot? My machine suffers "the slows" every once in awhile. A reboot cures it for a few hours.

Maybe the large game you installed/uninstalled fragmented your hard disk and the SDOE cache file got scattered all over the place. Have you run defrag lately?
