Bought a french version CDApplied latest patch 1.50 Is the game always that slow when loading ?? Cannot exit at the end of a mission. The gme bugs down and the screen freezes. The only route out is ALT-TAB & then the game shuts down automatically.......any info on this ??? Where can I find a simple line card with English keybords reference. Electronic format. 1. How slow is slow? Each mission should load in 10-15 seconds. The game itself takes about 30 seconds (guess?). Make sure your virus protection is turned off - my McAfee makes loading SDOE a lot slower.2. Are you pressing ESC to exit? Is the screen freezing in the middle of a mission or at the end? 3. Go here for a good keyboard reference card. http://members.home.net/jaguar17/KEY991116.zip 4. The 5.3 plane pak and contest pak are the best starts for plane add-ons. The first time you enter each theatre we pre-process the textures for that theatre based on the 3D API you're using. That takes a couple of minutes.If you have "Conserve hard disk" checked in the options, then every time you change theatres we delete those pre-processed textures and build new ones for the new theatre. If you have plenty of hard disk space then un-check that option. We'll save all of the texture info and it'll load much faster. Depending on the speed of your machine it should load in 20-30 secs. The screen is supposed to freeze when you press ESC, that's how you pause the game. You should then see a dialogue box in the upper left corner giving you the choice to exit or resume.IP: Logged |

Hello all againNow.... here it finally works. However... like expected I have more questions. In 3DFX Glide the starting screen when loading is offset to the right. The right part actually appears on the left side. When flying a heavy, ex. a Lanc. when jumping to a turret, I cannot control the turret. The views work, but cannot work the turret to the left of right. Can we have a map while in training mode. Hitting the map key does nothing at all. Also, the exit meu only appears if I use Direct 3D mode. None of the menu in flight will appear using 3DFX AMD K6-2 500 with Voodoo 3 2000 AGP Tks all for the info IP: Logged |
