WAHAO - Got much trouble in the last days - it seems to be my graphic board (it has no fan)--> It is really hot here in my room (cause it is summer here) - about 25 deg. And somehow in the last days I got freezes and crashes in FS/OPS and other PRGs all the day.

Did someone see similiar things with "uncooled" graphic cards ??? I'm not sure if this is the reason for the crashes.

Second proplem - I fckd up my email config - could someone of you just send me a mail with some nice blabla in it, so that I can see if I receive it or not ???

Thank you !

LK

Laika,
that certainly will do it. Best get a fan pronto. It also helps to remove the cover and mount a large house fan beside the pc

I use lasagna coolers on all my video cards since the Voodoo2 days http://www.tennmax.com best fans in the business

Laika, what graphics board are you using? I have a fan on my V3 AGP. Older graphics cards dont needa fan, but the latest ones do. Sure, I'll e-mail you.

Card - ELSA II TNT2 32MB - no fan, actually a big fan stand beside my open PC (about 30 cm...) - only way to keep it working more or less...

The "e-mail"-reminder does work, please send me a mail, so I can be sure that all is working...

Thankyou !

I have a diamond viper 770 which is a TNT2 card, the fan I fitted was AMD k2 fan which I unscrewed from the heatsink it came with. Using the same self tapping screws I fitted it to the V770 heatsink, the scews were just the right dia to fit the gaps between the fins on the V770 heatsink. It runs overclocked now with no lock-up provided I'm not too OTT.
