My first guess would be the new prop airfoils. Earlier planes used certain airfoils for the prop, but these airfoils were non-stallable and ALSO used on the horizontal stabs of some of the planes. Tailslide made up some new airfoils for the props, called Prop1, Prop2, etc, so that the other airfoils could be made stallable for use on the horizontal stabs of all the planes eventually.

I noticed that the Alpha of the SBD has the new prop airfoils, but does NOT have a new startup.ppf file. That will cause a CTD. The startup.ppf file needs to have a line added for each of the new prop airfoils.

I can send you my startup.ppf which has all the lines for all the airfoils I'm aware of in it if you like, or you can try adding the lines yourself. The lines are case-sensitive. If you have the Hurricane and P-47 working in your sim, take a look at the lines for the "CLARKYH" and "SEVERSKY" to get the idea.
