Topic: Order of Instalation?

I'm trying to get ready for the next pack to install and am qurious about the proper order of installing the addons starting from a fresh install from the origional CD. Here is the order I think I should use:
1. patch 150
2. control 2000
3. Nations 1.0
4. Nations fix
5. Missions v0.99 pack
6. 5.3 plane pack
7. 5.3b patch
8. Contest Pack 1.1If I have Contest Pack 1.1 will I need 5.3 and 5.3b? IP: Logged |

Most of the installers were designed to avoid having a specific order that they need to be installed in. I didn't plan as well with the 5.3b patch though so the order should be
1. Patch150
2. 5.3 Plane Pack
3. 5.3b Patch
4. Nations
5. Nations Fix (if needed) New nations is in an installer
6. Contest Pack 1.1
Same order as listed in the online standard basically. Control 2000 and the mission v0.99 pack don't really matter what order they are installed in or where in the process they are installed.Hope that helps IP: Logged |

Alright. 1. Patch 150 - check, 2. 5.3 Plane Pack - check, 3. 5.3b Patch - check, 4. Nations - WAIT: Weasel gets up, he pulls out his gun, and abrutly soots himself in the foot! Nations unzips to the MEDIA folder. MEDIA, MEDIA, MEDIA, MEDIA. I'm walking with a limp now and I might be a little light with the rudder pedals, but I think I can still fly...IP: Logged |

Actually if you have a fast connection the Nations pack on my site is in an installer identical to the 5.3b patch and Contest Pack 1.1.

Thanks a Ton again d0gma! I'm downloading it now for the next time I need to reload. Maybe Nations will be in 5.4, eh? Hey, is the He 163 and the Go223 improved versions going to be in 5.4?IP: Logged |

I am working right now on a way to track all the planes a little better for the next plane pack. As soon as thats in place I plan on trying to incorporate the latest greatest version of everything possible for 5.4. I think we have come to the conclusion that Nations should become part of the next pack as well seeing we plan on populating several of them  IP: Logged |
