Ok, I read all the probs, mine is simple, SDOE wont even start for me!

I have a PIII 450 mhz, ATI Rage 128 gfx card and PCI sound card, I have a pioneer 6x dvd cd rom drive. I have 96mb memory, and 8gb hd space.

I installed the game and clicked PLAY, i got a error message saying to insert the game cd, which was already in the drive. So I downloaded the beta fix for this, now i click PLAY i get the eggtimer for a few seconds, the CD drive spins then nothing.

any ideas ?

There have been some posts that the order in which you install everything makes a difference. Try a reinstall of SDOE then 1.5 and nothing else and see what happens.

You can install sdoe on any drive you like. The patchfiles let you specify where they are to be extracted. Make sure this is your CORRECT directory. Else that patch wont find the old files and will freeze the system. Happened to me.
