Howdy, I'm new to this sim and have d/l'd the patch (1.5) and the PP5.3+5.3a. After installation I was annoyed to find the Lanc was turned into the Manchester. It still lists the Lanc MK-II on the various menus, but once the game is launched I end up with a twin engined, quite underwhelming, Manchester.

What, if anything, might I have done in error to end up with this result ? I would really like to find the Lanc again.

Cheers

Viggen, as a follow-up to my email, I hope I can help you with this. I fixed this a while ago so I'm a little fuzzy.

First off, you need the patch PP5.3a, which I think you have. I believe that I originally unzipped this file to the wrong directory and you may have done the same thing. Regardless, if you look at the contents of that zip file, you'll see a file called "lanc.sm". That file needs to be extracted to the "fighter squadron>media>aircraft>lanc" directory. Once it's there, it will override the original Manchester files that came with PlanePack 5.3

If anyone else has anything to add, please chime in. I hope this solves the problem for you.
