I'm having a problem, after about 30-45 mins of play all of the textures in the game (land, sea, aircraft, fuel guages, etc) get scrambled. Could this be a problem with overheating? can i buy any sort of cooling fan for my 3dfx card as it may be very pretty but it's also very annoying. It also seems to be worse when flying at height, around 15,000 feet is terrible.

I go with the over heating, and yes, there is a fan availabe to buy that will fit it (although I thought the 3000 version had one), myself I have the 2000 overclocked to the max, and have mounted a fan taken from a power pack over the card for cooling, that seems to work fine, the kind of thing your mentioning is similar to what I get if I o/c too much, so I think that it is a cooling problem. You can also buy cooling fans that fit into one of the free slots on the board (if you have any, I dont) This is a problem with the voodoos now though

FF,
http://www.extremecooling.de/voodoo33000.html

Though itīs a german site there are a couple of nice pics of homemade and cheap solutions to cool down your card.

BTW, mine is cooled by a ordinary 5cm-Fan attached to the Voodoo3-Heatsink with a simple cable strap.

I just got the CPU fan off my old 233 MMX and stuck it on my Voodoo3s heat sink. Works fine.

Thanks guys. Have found a site that does (quite expensive) dedicated fans, but a cheaper option is always better

Ahh I see the problem, at 15,000 feet the air is getting thin, not enough air to circulate around the card.
yuk yuk!

I don't think so Spyder, the air is also much colder at 15,000. Must be something else. hehe
