I have a Gateway computer and I can't get my WM Extreme 3D digital to load, much less my CH pedals. My computer just keeps locking up.
Does anyone have this setup that can help me?

Blood in the water!

It can be done either way. But its the software that crashes it I think.

Hey Maaco. Make sure you get the latest driver for the WMDE3D. Don't know what came with your joystick when you got it, but they're up to 3.5 I think (logitech.com). I use mine USB and it works great. Don't have rudder pedals myself, but use the twist stick feature with no probs.

Maaco, I use a Logitech Wingman Force connected to USB and CH Pro Pedals connected to the Game Port of my sound card. This works great for me. The pedals are recognized and configured under the "Game Controller" for the Logitech Wingman. Under Properties / Settings it has an option for Rudder/Pedals.

Qtip is correct, be sure you have the latest dirvers from Logitech. You can get them by going into your "Game Controller" Properties / Settings. At the top there should be two tabs, "Test" and "About", click "About" There should be an option for "Internet Update" this will download and install ver 3.30.532

Hope this works for you. If not please post back.

As it turns out, I think my game port is bad. I have the latest software and it will not load. After restart and then it tries to test the controller and it locks up.
I have another sound card on the way and if that doesn't fix it I guess ill just buy a different stick.
Probably a MS stick.

Ill report back when I get it.
Thanks,

Maaco

Maaco, I just upgraded my rudder pedals to the Thrustmaster Elite Rudders.

Same setup connected them to the sound card game port and the Logitech Wingman Force (USB) picked them up. I am happy now.

Good luck, let us know if the new sound card works out ok.
