All I want to do is change the MG's to cannons in the Apache. I changed them over in the loadout file and the guns disappeared. I am assuming that I should be able to do this in OPS but I didn't see anything about it in Bryans tutorials and when I put the Apache sm file in OPS I can't find any gun specs.

1. do I have to have a 3D program to do this?

2. do I have to do this in OPS?

3. if so how?

also I'm trying to make some skins for the SpitIX and the B-17f does anybody know the exact tif names.

Make sure that the list of loadouts at the beginning of the loadout.ppf has the new loadout that you are trying to add in it. Also, make sure you spelled the puppy the same in both places, including capitolization. You might also want to recheck the new loadout for mission spaces. Make sure that the name of the gun you are referencing exists on the plane itself (ie, there is a model for it).

If it isn't a valid or referenced loadout, the plane won't show it.

Thanks! I pretty much got it.
I copied the cannon out of the 109 onto the nose guns of the Apache. For some reason it wouldn't work under the cannon title but it does under the gun title. So now the nose guns fire cannon rounds. Took a while to figure out the gun chain too, but now it all works quite nicely. With these mods it is a far more effective ground pounder.
