I just set up a mission with 36 planes and although the framerate was OK I was loosing the sound in the game. Is there an actual limit to the number of planes allowed in a mission? Thanks!

There's no limit to the number of planes. We've set up 100 vs 100 before (slow as hell.)

The limit on the number of sounds depends on your sound card. We hand the sounds off to the sound card driver and it plays as many as it can.
