I seem to recall a thread a while ago about the pilots disappearing from all allied planes. Seems to be happnin to me for some reason. What parfile is the allied pilot located and where should it go in the game tree? I've still got the germpilot.

Thanks

Oh, in case you're wondering what NOLO is, it's target drone speak for "no onboard live operator"

I think if you just remove the "pilot" folder from your FS directory, the Allied pilots will return. I believe this is a problem with the He-162 file, and there is a patch available to fix it.

Actually Jedi, the patch isn't a complete fix. The HE162 and the Go229 and now your beautiful Corsair have the same bug. When you bail out both the altered cockpit pilot and the standing bailout pilot appear, attached to one another. For some reason the altered pilot doesn't disappear when the bailout pilot appears.

If there is another patch which fixes this, where do I get it?

Aha so that's where my mutant Navy pilot came from!! I thought it was ME that was a knucklehead. (Which may be true, but not in this case).

The next version of the Hog has a "fixed" pilot in it. I think the original pilot folder is in data2.par file I think. You can just copy the "pilotsit.sm" file into your pilot folder and the other planes will find it.

Well, copying the various missing pilot .sm files from Data2.par didn't work (for the Corsair anyway... the only one I've tested so far) will try deleting the pilot folder & see if it works.

Actually, it seems that only the Corsair is NOLO. Any ideas on a fix?

This will be fixed in the next patch, but you could simply copy the pilotsit.sm file from the old parfile into the pilot folder, and then rename it USNpilotsit.sm. It won't look like a Navy pilot again unless you use OPS or extractor/builder to edit the texture references, but at least there will be a pilot.

New patch coming tomorrow tho...

Hey, thanks Jedi!
Eagerly awaiting the patch, but I think I'll try editing pilotsit for s..ts & grins. I'd tried copying it but didn't know about the rename.
