My 'add/remove programs' utility seems to have corrupted. The majority of entries have disappeared which means I can't reliably delete certain programs. Whilst many programs have an uninstall icon this is not always the case. Is there anyway to re-build the uninstall data base without a re-format and complete reinstall of Win '98 and all my software?

Would Tweak UI be able to do the job?

Hmmm....don't know about tweak ui; I do know that this list is tied in with the registry, and vaguely how to remove a reference to a program that still shows but no longer exists....but this a reversal from that, and afraid I wouldn't know where to begin. Do you have a recent registry you could restore, that you know still included those items?

Man, beyond that, I'm hopeless...want to help, but not enough knowledge. Have you tried winfiles.com, or winmag.com? If they don't help, maybe they have links that would?

Sorry...
