Zur or anyone else in the "know", I would like to pick your mind about joystick sensitivity. Let me tell about my joysticks, setup and what I have done so far. OK first my joysticks, I have a Saitek Cyborg 3D digital and a Saitek X36/35. I have Spyder’s control and I also have stickworks joystick control too. My Cyborg 3D digital joystick is great ( I know, I’ve heard all kinds of bad things, like how hard it is to set up the sensitivity ect), sensitivity and all, I have no bad feelings about it, when playing sdoe that is the stick I use. OK, so you are thinking if I have a X36/35 why use the Cyborg? Well the X36/35 is so sensitive that I can not fly sdoe with it, it is fine with other games (Falcon 4.0, EAW). I have tried everything I know to get the X36/35 to work with sdoe. Here is what I have tried: move the sensitivity sliders on Spyder’s control all the way to the left (less sensitive), move the sliders on the dead zone to 1/3 from the left. Still no good, so I edited the sdemons.ini file, the line called Joysensitivity, I only did this line because this is what is wrong, the other lines Joydeadzone, Ruddeadzone and Rudsensitivity I did not edit. Still no good. I tried so many different values, at least 12 different settings. Then I used stickworks joystick control and messed with the sensitivity, I just couldn’t find the right settings for it, either it was still too sensitive or not sensitive enough. I would really like to get the X36/35 going for sdoe, the Cyborg works great but I like the X36/35 much better. Could you let me know what values you have in the 4 lines in the sdemons file? I know you have a different joystick but that would give me something to go on. Anything else I could try would be nice too. After all this, maybe you or someone could put this in something like the "Handy Dandy Doc" so all people could see it. Thanks for any kind of help I can get on this.
