Ok I have a few questions. Plesae try and answer all of them, thanx.

1. I downloaded the BF-109 and PP5.2 but where do I unzip to?

2. Can you put more than 9 aircraft taking off from any airfield? I tried to put 27 Lancasters taking off at Eastbourne but it wouldn't work. They got bumped to another airfield.

3. What is the key on the keyboard for firing cannons, guns only and all guns and cannons?

4. How do you High-Altitude bomb?

5. Where do I go to play online?

6.I can't find openplane on the CD - do you have to buy it seperately?

7. What aircraft are in the Plane Pack 5.2?

8. What are all the smiley faces for?

Thanks for answering,
Snake

OK Snake- here goes answers for most of your questions:

1. Unzip to your Fighter Squadron/Media/Aircraft folder.

2. I don't think so- plus, if you had that many Lancs in the air (I don't care how fast your computer is)- your framerates would be pretty close to zero. Each airfield has 1 to 2 to 3 runways and Pete Hawk had the fields in Dover and Africa mapped out so that if you put in the appropriate runway number and added a zero (i.e.- Runway 9 should have 90) in your heading section of the start conditions in the the waypoint info of the mission editor- your plane was aligned that way. I don't have the maps, but if you want the runway numbers for those airfields I could e-mail them to you.

3."A" and then "1" should bring up machine guns, "A" and then "2" should bring up cannons, and then "A" and "3" will bring all guns up.

4. Very carefully Kopper has a tutorial on bombing at his squadron homepage- check it out (I forget the web address).

5. Use the Fighter Squadron In formation Center link below to bring up server info and who's playing.

6. No- you download it from the openplane site (Openplane.com?)- someone here should know, I'm sure.

7. All of them ...sorry... Spit IX and V, Bf-109 E and G, FW-190D, Ju-88G7, A-36 Apache, and I'm sure I am missing some- use Tailslide's link in the FS Sites section of this page to get the PlanePack.

8. Who cares....go fly already!!

Hope this helps!

Thanks for all your help Jeeves, I needed it. Anyway I got a new computer for Christmas and I've been waiting months to play SDOE. I put about 18 B-17 flying really low and slow and 27 Flak 37's just in front of them into a mission and I had no problems, running with all details maxed out at 1600x1200 -hehe. It was really cool. The flak bursts in SDOE are really good especially when 27 guns are concentrated on 1 square mile.
