Hi Folks!I think about my graphic problems again, and now I believe it is not a graphic card/driver problem (cause it appears with the ATI Rage card and with my new TnT2 32MB card). So the error must be somewere else. Could it be my old Soundcard (SB 16) or is something wrong with my Force Feedback Stick (Logitech) nor is it the Monitor ? There is also a jumper on my Mainboard (VIA MPV3): I can set SDRAM CLK = AGP CLK (actual setting) or SDRAM CLK = CPU CLK Here are some screenshots where you can see the problem: Hope this works !!!
Maybe someone can help ? IP: Logged |

I think all TNT boards look like the above screen-shots - I know both of mine do I use a Voodoo II card as well, it looks fine and gives me almost twice the FPS...

Laika, I think that is a TNT problem. My STB velocity 4400 TNT card looked just like that untill I updated the Drivers. I suggest that you do the same. I do not recommend using Nvidia new 3.53 drivers it improves the display but has some bugs in it. The new STB drivers work great. You might try them. stb.com It will still not be as good as a voodoo card but it should help.

Same problem here. I upgraded from a Voodoo1 to a TNT2 Ultra and was badly dissapointed by this problem. You say it also happens with an ATI? So it may be a Direct3D bug?IP: Logged |

Seems I´m not the only on with tnt problems...Hey Spanky my fps rate is between 16 and 20 fps. That sucks a lot! I should pulverize and burn down my system. (Do I really need an Athlon 700Mhz and the newest Voodoo card to play FS ? - Oh sht!! runnin out of money) IP: Logged |

Spanky hereok man i can't remember your cpu and ram but 16-20 blows goats i have a 16 meg voodoo banshee, p2 266 and 96 megs of ram and i get a widly fluctuating 15-70 (i think its cause my cpu sucks) mostly in the 20-50 range i say if you really want to get into FS SDOE then take it back and get yourself a voodoo 3 2000 or if ya can afford it (i know whats its like to be broke) a voodoo 3 3000 no card is trouble free but it seems like FS just likes glide better

Spanky - I ask in the shop an the man there were nearly going mad and tellin me "blablabla - no!" because I´m allready changed the ATI Rage card back.Over christmas I see my brother, he´s got a banshee card - i will try it out and maybe next year I buy a new voodoo but at this time - no way. The fps rate 16-20 is only when I fight against someone or when many planes are in range. Besides that I got up to 50 fps (When I look into the sky I think I had to play with fewer texture details in the next time (And this with an K6-2-400 and 64 MB -sht!). IP: Logged |

Just get a voodooII card - then you will get like 40-60 FPS... and you won't see those glitches. It's funny how I don't even notice those messed up graphics after a while - even when I switch back to voodoo - it isn't like, "wow, this looks sooo much better" or anything. I just upgraded from a celleron 400 (oc to 450) to an athlon 600 (will oc to 650) - I noticed NO FPS gain in SDOE with my TNT2 card - still 20-40 ------------------ -Sv =FC= WWI in SDOE! IP: Logged |
