You need to change the sky colors manually- the DoverNight file only shows the ground in "night"--in a mission opened in Notepad- after WindDirection- you add FogColor xx ClearColor xx FogDist 5 ClearDist 3" with the xx's being any value from black (0) to blue I think (don't remember the value)- someone else might...hope I helped some!

It only works with the v1.51 beta patches:

http://dragonseye.com/FSBeta/

Back up the relevant files then it is easier to go back or do separate install.

Hers an example of the whole environment line in a mission opened with notepad:
msnEnvironment ( msnDate "8/15/1945" msnCloud "strClear" msnWindVelocity 0 msnWindDirection 0 msnFogColor 1 1 3 msnClearColor 5 0 10 msnFogDist 1 msnViewDist 3 )
I cant remenber but i think these values will give you something real dark. I toyed a lot with this and flew in missions with purple sky and orange clouds and it worked fine.
Hope it helps...
