I run SDOE in software mode (yes, I know, but it's because my main PC is a laptop)

When I hit Alt+M SDOE crashes EVERY time - freezes and emits a nice buzzing noise.

Is this a bug?

Could anyone who also uses software see if theirs does the same, or could somebody set their SDOE to software mode, hit the keys and see if it happens too?

Well i tried but i couldn't even get it to run in software with out crashing while it tried to load

Can someone else try this too?

also what does ALT-M do?

Isn't Alt+M the map overlay? The 'radar' thingie? I don't know - I've never seen it!

Yeah could be i never use it though

crappy that it does that, hopefully someone will try it for ya but it just won't run at all in software for me

what kind of cpu do you have?
and vid chip?
ram?

i'm trying to see if my grandfathers computer can run SDOE at all

whats your FPS?

Frame rate - about 25 average

I know, I know, but given the choice I bought a laptop & it does play the game reasonably well.
