Some days ago, I updated my system (k6-2-400 Mhz, 64 MB and a Ati Rage Xpert 128, W98).
I´ve installed the newest Ati drivers but the game wont work right with D3D. With the official Patch V1.5 the game works but there are a lot of strange effects: corrupted fog, the coastal lines flickering and the game slows down sometimes.

I can see only some terrain polygons around my planes position, the rest of the screen is white (flickerin edges). When the plane crashes down my system crashes also.

Can anyone help ???

Hi man sorry I can't help all I can do is suggest you trade your ati card in for a voodoo or tnt card of the same value.

I have owned or used 3 differnet ati cards and they all have low performance and horrible graphics and were never ment for gaming it seems.

I physically cringe when I hear of someone buy a brand new computer and it comming with a ATI card.

They may have a high market share but its certainly not by haveing a card that is good at gaming.

Since you just upgraded the store you bought it at should help you out by letting you trade the card in for credit against a new card. If not I would take the whole upgrade in for a full refund and work with a better store.

HEHE I just reread your post and saw the part about the rest of the screen being white, welcome to ATI's wonderfull graphics accelerator my buddie runs everything in software cause the hardware mode is either all white crap or slower then the software mode.

I concur; ATI drivers totally suck, regardless of whether their card is actually any good or not. I have three drivers for my Rage Fury, and not one of them is an all-round good-performer for all of my games. I had to re-install an old driver, previously up-graded with the latest one, in order to run EAW. Now I can't use AvP, it needs the latest driver.
ATI's phaking driver merry-go-round. Voodoo or TNT, they work.
