All I can tell you is that I have been watching both Fox and CNN several hours a day since 9/11. The first I heard of the Red Cross trying to hold back victim money for their general fund was on O'Reilly's show, and he was talking about it for a couple weeks before I heard it anywhere else. He has had victim family members on his show numerous times telling how they haven't been getting any help from most of these charities which were set up to help victim families. Most didn't know where to go to get help and neither had they been contacted by the charities themselves asking if they needed help.
O'Reilly went after all of them for being slow in delivering aid and the RC in particular for formally agreeing to hold back money ($200 million) donated for the victim's families for "future events". The President of the RC was even fired for setting up a seperate fund for victim relief in the first plance. The RC Board of Directors wanted it all going into their General Fund where it could get lost.
O'Reilly also went after Jesse Jackson's charities a few month's ago but no one at all picked up on that one, even though he had public documents (required by non-profits to file) which showed a lot of questionable expenditures and inaccurate accounting.
Try watching him Spanky if you get Fox News in Canada. He's a real no bullshit non-PC guy. He goes after both the left and right if disagrees with them. His book is No. 1 on the US best seller list.
