I was in the beta and It was pretty cool and is a VERY cool idea. But flight was pretty much impossible with my computer back then.

Is it any better? Have they done ANY Frame rate optimization at all? That was the worst part I found.

Are they just going to wait until computers can actually handle the game or have they tweaked it?

How is the game balance and play now that they added ranks and such?

Are tanks limited or are people still using them and barly no one joins as a trooper?

Right now I'm running

Duron 750
256megs of DDR
20 gig 7200 RPM drive
Voodoo 3

I plan on doing some more upgradging but not till after chirstmas. Probly double the ram, a geforce 2 and what ever tbird or XP is around 2-300 Canadian.

Thanks for any info, I certainly don't want to pay to find out.

still lots of quank but there r more inf than b4 cause when a town is contested, the dending party can only spawn inf and light AT guns....the rankinf system is FUBAR so forget that part

Ok, thanks for the info, I probly won't buy till next year anyways, just wanted to see if it was progressing at all.

Whats wrong with the rank system?

What kind of computer are you running?

And how is the flight stuff? Is there bombers now and whats the frame rate like in the air, I remember it being really bad and stuttery in the air before.

Thanks again

PIII 733 mhz
640 Mb PC133
40 gig 5400 rpm
20 gig 5400 rpm
16 Mb TNT2

my average fps in air is 20 while on the ground its 10-15

the ranking system-wise: some ppl get private 1st class in one mission, but it took me over 14 missions successes and 671 kills to get it. the main reason its messed up is cause half the time u know u should get a mission success u return to base and get a mission failure

as for getting kills, when a person despawns b4 they r fully bled dead then the person that killed em only gets credit for a damage and not a kill, i have sent lots of planes into the ground and lit many pzs afire only to get credit for damage

but im still hooked and its a great game!

here is a link to d/l links for lots of WW2OL vids mostly made while flying!

Cool stuff.

So with more ram and a better vid card it should run ok on my system.

I sure would like to see it fly though.

Maybe with a sweet XP 1900 chip
