Not looking good for our side. At least Ariz. two good pitchers are out of the way for a while. I think Torry should have had every Yankee bunt right toward the mound. Maybe after Johnson bent over, picked up the ball and threw it to first about 15 times he would have been wore down some. IP: Logged |

The Yankees were playing pretty well too. The biggest screw up the commentators could come up with was Brosious's adjusting his fingers before he threw, missing the double play (although to me it looked like the high throw to first was a bigger problem).Game 3 should be good. The Yankees are hungry and at home. Clemens makes me nervous though, he has too much of a potential to choke. IP: Logged |

Does anyone know why Brenely is putting a 4-7 pitcher into game 3? If Clemen's can't beat this guy it's all over.IP: Logged |

yep, I reckon the D-Backs quietly expected to lose last night, knowing they have a 2 game lead and their best pitchers yet to play again, I actualy think Arizona will take this World Series, I expect them to win atleast 1 in NY and one back at Arizona, and thats enough for them, looking forward to tonights game, thats gonna be a real battle I reckon IP: Logged |

Wow, what a game! Gotta hand it to those Yankees. On the other hand, it is now a 3 game series with 2 in Ariz. and Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling going to pitch 2 of them. Too close to call.IP: Logged |

Yankees have a chance... but I am a bit nervous.Randy Johnson will be pretty close to unbeatable-- but if Pettitte holds up as well-- there is a chance. I see this going to game 7 though-- and if Schilling stays in for the whole game (like he wanted too in game 4)-- they may not win. I don't think they would have pulled off the rally they did if Schilling had stayed in. I see both starters playing the entire game Saturday and Sunday-- pulling out all stops. It is just a matter of the Yankee bats....we will see what we will see. So far this is a mirror of the 96 series-- with 4 Atlanta pitchers who were supposedly as "unbeatable" as these pitchers. So you never know--- I won't count them out yet-- they always surprise you IP: Logged |

I too think Sunday is the Yanks best chance. Johnson is well rested and should turn in a good performance. If Schilling pitches Sunday won't he be on short rest again? He could wear down pitching so often. This, I feel, is the D'backs weakness right now. We'll have to see.IP: Logged |

You might be right Jeeves. The kid's only 22 and here he is, a failure two nights in a row in front of the whole world, thousands of miles from home. Must be devestating.I really admired the D/back players who went up to him on the mound after the second night's home run and hugged him and patted him on the back. They really felt sorry for him. No anger. IP: Logged |

OMG.. I posted above at 4-0! Now it's 10-0 in the 3rd!! I'm gonna watch but do I realy need to So, it's all down to game7, and lets be honest here, as a nutral (in favor of D-Backs though) you have to fancy Arizona to take this, they've out scored NY massively in all games at their own ground, and were more than unlucky to lose those 2 games at NY, on "paper" you have to go for Arizona.correction, while typinig this, it's now 12-0 IP: Logged |

I'd like the Yankees to win, but I have to admit that the Diamondbacks have looked better in every game. The Yankees got lucky in 4 and 5, but their luck truely has left them in game 6 IP: Logged |

I am going out on a limb here to say that Andy didn't have his best stuff last night... It will be tough tonight-- Yanks will have to be a lot better than they have been....I am happy to see Clemens pitching though...he has done the best out of all our pitchers in this series....here's to hoping and praying IP: Logged |

A rested Clemens vs. a tired Schilling...nod to the Yankees. Home field....nod to the D'backs. Due to have a hitting break-out...Yankees. Should be interesting.Poetic justice fantasy.....Kim comes in and shuts down the Yankees in a close game. IP: Logged |

I'll go out on a limb... Schilling till the 7th, Johnson till the 9th, Kim to close (If Johnson nees to rest, otherwise he'll close himself). I'm still going with D-Backs, they've out played NY in almost every game, especialy at Arizona, but I reckon it'll be very close with Clemens pitching.IP: Logged |

hehe, actualy I'm a Mets fan but for me this series has been like as if Manchester City were playing in the European cup final, I might be from Manchester, and a Manchester United fan, but that only means that I realy hate City and would never shout for them But I've realy enjoyed watching the D-Backs work their butts off just to be able to compete with the Yankees playing at a strole. It might sound stange, but I've been a Pitsburg Steelers fan since the early 80's, supported the Detroit Redwings for about 5 years now (they are awsome), and a Mets fan for about the same time. on Channel5 here in the UK we get alot of US sport (4/3 nights a week), the only thing I wont watch is NBA, I guess I'm just sport mad (no I'm not a Jock! more of a mellow burnout LOL) IP: Logged |
