For those that didn't know SAR3 is in the works. Theres a demo avalible here.
All new features such as a moveable spotlight, realistic audio communication and the addition of the BK-117 and SH-3 Seaking helicopters make Search and Rescue 3 the most realistic helicopter rescue simulation ever created. Whether you're repairing a volatile oil rig, or plucking victims from frigid ocean swells, every mission will immerse you into authentic rescue situations, and will require a steady hand, nerves of steel and sometimes even a little luck.

I just tried it out a bit, crashed 2 times of course LOL
One succesfull landing on a major bridge.
Its pretty hard on my system.
My computer now.
Duron 750@750
K7S5A SIS 735 board
256 megs of Crucial DDR ram
Voodoo Banshee 16 megs
20 Gig hard drive 7200 RPM
Sb live value
My controller?
HEHE, A playstation controller that Use for pretty much everything, I didn't feel like plugging in the joystick.
It actually works really well. One sick is forwards backwards, left and right. And the other is collective and rudder.
So it works out nicely.
So yeah its stuttering sometimes on my system and I'm running it at 800x600 with all the settings in the graphics panel at medium.
It does look pretty good though, except (and you could fix this with a more powerfull system) major graphics such as city buildings fade in as you get close, I would like to push that back a bit, maybe after a bit of system tweaking I can.
I will say that the citys look pretty good, hundreds of tall buildings in one area, and there is another city just across the bay (connected by that major bridge) that is set up more like a port with ships in port (I tried to land on ones cargo, I guess it wasn't up to holding up a heli) and even a coast guard ship I should have tried landing on.
All in all its looking pretty good, You can fly all 3 helis i think, and there is 2 or 3 missions in the demo.
Check it out if your into helis.
