I'm planning on revisiting Germany and Italy next year around spring/Easter.

I'd like to fly into northern Germany and take a train down to Italy. Getting off to visit some sites and friends along the way. Any suggestions, ideas, warnings or volunteers to tour guide would be most welcome.

Hi Diego,
nice to hear that u want to visit Germany :-)
There are so many locations you can visit, itīs difficult to say which u should visit. It depends all from your interests.
I will try to find some nice english written websites for you.
Please send me a mail.
The only warning for now is donīt exchange Dollars into Deutsche Marks now because most european countries including Germany change their currencies into Euro at 1.1.2002
And donīt forget that you will arrive in spring,so the weather can have some surprices for you :-)
All is possible then,snowy-storm-rain-sunshine-warm :-))
Maybe you should check the weather forecast a few days before starting the tour.
Or mail me then and i can tell you.

Itīs also importand to know when and where you arrived Hamburg or Hannover because whe have the CEBIT Expo (Worlds largets PC Expo)
in march(?!) in Hannover, where Hotel prices are much more expensive then normal and it may be difficult to find free Hotels at this time. But it can be very interesting for you if you want to visit the Expo.
