Hi Rends,

Bearshare has spyware installed in it. Do not download it. A better P2P program is limewire, I use it and it has been the best. It works off of gnutella like bearshare but limewire has no spyware. Here is the link www.limewire.com

Limewire has millions of users, and more songs then Napster had. However I use a cable modem and it works great. Not sure about the speed on a phone line. Hope that helps

kazaa has no spyware

also morpheus is a musiccity.com sponsered version of kazaa and the 2 r compatible in that using morpheus u can d/l stuff from ppl running kazaa and the other way around, after trying limewire (the developers of this need to be shot) i turned to morpheus cause limewire was hell to use and u cant find jack with it

I thought it was wacked that morpheus had some kazza stuff in it when I was downloading.

Cool thanks for the info.

I tried Gnutella a while back and it was no sub for napster.

The thing I hate about all these OTHER shareing systems is I can't find hi bitrate songs.

I only like to download 256 and above bitrate MP3s, but I can't find any on morpheus.

from wut i hear d/ling an mp3 with a higher than 256 bit rate is just a waste of space and from experimenting i concluded the same...this may not be the case for u but even with my subwoofers i cant hear any difference between 256 and 320 bitrate
