I reinstalled the old NVidia drivers for my GeForce 2MX (07.24 drivers or something like that), but whenever I start my computer now the screen is totally blank, black, nothing, nada, like as if the PC is turned off. Strange thing is that I can use my hotkeys (shortcuts, whatever), to open a game. I.e. I press Windows button, then P, then F, then I press enter, and Fighter Squadron opens. The game starts fine, suddenly the picture appears, and when I exit the game, the PC is fine and I can see the desktop. I've tried installing new drivers and everything, but this thing eludes me. I need some help here.

OK, I dunno about your drivers, but mine for the voodoo come usualy in a zip or exe zip, so if yours are the same way then this will help.

Make sure you have the drivers in a folder.
Go into settings/control panel/system/Device Manager

remove the grachipcs card and reboot

When windows restarts it will locate your g/card and install the newest drivers it has within it's system, then hopefully everything should be fine.

I said to have the drivers extracted incase it asks for a location to instal the drivers from, you can then point it to the folder and it will put those drivers in, but this shouldn't happen

Hope this helps some semmern

What happens when you boot in Safe Mode? It sounds like the driver file is corrupt to me. Boot in safe mode, re-install the driver and see what happens. You may have to download a new driver.

Safe mode does work. Forgot to mention that. I'll try a reinstall and see what happens.
