Ok, another story sent to me by the guys at the Lockheed Martin Plant in Fort Worth!!"Sidewinder" unexpectedly departs the LAU-7 launcher as the FA-18 catches the wire. Can you imagine the look on that pilots face?? LOL!!!! ------------------ Disney's Dinosaur, my passion, my love, my life. Think Im obsessed? You're right. 2 Quotes I live by...... "Somethings start out big. And somethings start out small. Very small. But sometimes the smallest thing, can make the biggest changes of all." ~~ Plio in Disney's Dinosaur "And if we can only step aside, and trust in nature.... life will find a way." ~~ John Hammond in Jurassic Park: The Lost World IP: Logged |

Aladar,You wouldn't know a Grant Castleberry, a Dennis Eicke, or a Mark Metroka? Those were old buds of mine back when I was in seminary there in Fort Worth (I've changed denominations since then...). Those were the days, those were! Reminds me, I need to get back in touch with them! V/R, Chaps (They were all three working at that plant the last I knew them) [This message has been edited by Wing Chaps (edited 08-28-2001).] IP: Logged |

Wing Chaps, I don't work at Lockheed, I'm only 16... my Dad works there and they e-mail him that stuff. I asked him and he doesn't know them.IP: Logged |

Aladar, thanks for asking. I thought you might have done some gaming with them. For you to be putting out the aircraft you do at your age, though, IS misleading. I did thing you were older... I'll just get on the internet and look 'em up. Now that I'm back from Greece after 2 years, it's a good time. Also, earlier this year I was ON one of those carriers, the Harry S. Truman! I'm going to share those JPEGs around the Wing here... IP: Logged |

Pucker Factor 10 or 11! That's exactly what caused the Oriskany fire back in the 60's. A missile went off and started a huge fire that killed a whole bunch of boat people and put her out of action for a few months or years. They said they had it fixed so it wouldn't happen again. Guess they forgot about the bozo pilot factor. I really hope everybody knows what a 'Pucker Factor' is. I'll tell ya'll if somebody asks.IP: Logged |
