I've decided to take a flight license for light planes (we call them ultralights...), dunno how u call them in your country guys, but anyway it really rocks! Today I reached one hour and 15 mins in my logbook and I had a nice one with my instructor as we dived upon a railway from 500 ft with a train passing by! There's a small red button above the control stick for the intercom, and he yelled "Squeeze that trigger and blast that train away!"... I let u figure out whatta crazy jackass he is!!! Btw after a while we were reached by another plane and tried some evasive actions! Not very safe but guys: TOO MUCH FUN!!!! The instructor told me that I fly good and asked me if I use any flight simulator: now he wants to try SDOE too!!!!li'l b P.S. So now I can say I'm really involved with planes: I fly them, restore them and LOVE them!!!! IP: Logged |

Restore them eh? Cool stuff, yeah I'm thinking of getting mine also. Here in Canada there is a gaggle of licences and permits. Ultralight permit, recreational licence, private licence and stuff. and a TON more, thats not even mentioning commercial and multiengine and stuff. I'm thinking of going private or rec. Cause with them you can do stuff under them. [This message has been edited by Spanky the Mad Dog (edited 08-26-2001).] IP: Logged |

NEAT!I eat lunch every day at a diner along a grass strip... all the training there is done in old Piper Cubs. I am in line for lessons, but they are booked out until quite late. Well I assume this since they keep telling me, "another two weeks" - every two weeks So what are lessons like? ------------------ -Sv Wings with Wires IP: Logged |

yeah the kitfox is wonderful, but u need at least 20 hours to fly w/ her, since the taildraggers are more difficult to handle on the ground and to keep straight on takeoffs/landings...li'l b IP: Logged |

I think you need to change your name to LUCKY Bastard! The first plane looks pretty funky, but the kit fox is a beut looker all the time. Though, have they got a Lycoming/Continental up front? It doesn't look as streamlined as the usuall Rotax. Biggles

they're both Rotax engines, the former is a 582 while the latter's a 912, a good 4 strokes engine, pretty heavy but very reliable...li'l b IP: Logged |
