I downloaded the 12.41 drivers for my GeForce 2MX-400 a few days back. Ever since then, whenever I run a D3D game, a big, ugly NVidia logo shows up in the lower right corner of my screen, and I can't find an option to turn it off anywhere. Here's a pic of it: [This message has been edited by semmern (edited 08-24-2001).] IP: Logged |

I installed some older drivers I had on a CD, and I catually noticed far better performance in all my games, especially with FSAA enabled. Also, when I had the 12.41 drivers, and I went into the Settings-Advanced-GeForce 2MX tab in my display settings, there was no checkbox to disable logo when running D3D games, but there is now. Problem solved, but it's a bit strange that older drivers give better performance, when NVidia states that the 21.41 drivers are optimised for AMD's and DX8, which is what I have.IP: Logged |

12.41 gave me slower performance with my GeForce2 Pro when I ran Benchmark programs (Mark2000) that didn't test for DX8, and also in SDOE. With Mark 2001 which tests for DX8 features 12.41 scored a little higher than 6.5. Bottom line, I went back to 6.5. SDOE runs better with it, especially in OpenGL. On the otherhand if you spend most of your time with games taking advantage of DX8 features then stay with 12.41. But remember, DX8 is only for D3D. IP: Logged |

I run 7.52 drivers, and I'll continue to do that until new drivers are released. I still think it's wierd that there's no option to disable the logo.IP: Logged |

That's weird, though, because I have the 12.41's running on my 2MX, and there is no Logo. You'd think there would be a option to turn it off in the standard properties. It isn't like they really need the extra advertising any more.

It's there with the older drivers, but once I install the 12.41 drivers, it disappears. Anyway, I'm getting better performance with the old ones.IP: Logged |
