Hi guys...

Some of you may remember that I was keen on doing some Aussie terrain...well the problem was, I was an absolute novice at this in SDOE and got nowhere......

Still determined to do 'something' I've reverted to another media - that being CFS2 - to achieve this...

What I have achieved is porting our airfield textures across. The initial results are very promising....here's a little pic:

What I need to know is what are the copyright issues if I distribute the airfields publicly..for no cost of course and due credits....

Any ideas....

Cheers,

In my opinion (not an attorney nor a professional on copyrights) when an allowance is made on a product to have user accessibility that would open the door to any given application to allow any modification. But if I were you I would follow the 10 step rule, meaning that if you change at least 10 aspects of the original design, even minor but significant enough to be able to show those changes you'll be ok. I do know that this rule applies to certian designs like blueprints...

I'm not sure any more how you can reach him, but AXA ported over a CFS2 terrain for Rowan's Battle of Britain. It is still available for DL over at SimHQ; there should be a link somewhere there if you need to ask him. I don't recall anything ever being said, but you know Microsoft.

I don't know anything about copyrights, but the pic that shows your work so far looks amazing Agas!
