I ordered it, but haven't gotten it yet. I'd read that it was short, but that there'd be many mods for it later. I had to have it once I saw the 3dMark2001 demo. Does it look that good? IP: Logged |

I'm such a graphics tart that I don't think I'll mind it being short if it looks that good.IP: Logged |

I finished it yesterday, I don't know how long it took.Very good game, action game of the year I'd say. Drips atmosphere, execellent sound. John Woo meets the Godfather with the special effects of the Matrix. Cool. Elric IP: Logged |

I'm not very far in but it is pretty good, and thats alot coming from me. I have the res set to 800x600 and all the graphics options on medium and its smooth as butter on my Duron 750 with 192megs and a voodoo banshee. IP: Logged |

I just tried the tutorial out in the game. IT KICKS A$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I take back every bad thing I said about 3rd person shooters... This game just ROCKS! I think its the next best thing since Half-Life!!!! Im running it in 1024x768x32 with all settings maxed except FSAA and its smooth as a babies butt! I havent ben playing in any BIG action scenes yet so who knows... But Im VERY pleased that I spent the $40.00 US to get this game... IP: Logged |

Got it installed today, and wow it's amazing! I wish Max didn't have that smirk going all the time though--not that you notice since your usually behind him. I have the settings all the up 1024x768 except on 16 bit color, and it's very smooth. IP: Logged |

Got it today, and have to agree...this game rocks. Runs real well, even on my PIII 500, at 1024x768x16. Nice weapons and plenty of ammo - all I need now is the Duke! And I usually hate 3rd person games...but this interface is actually great to use. ------------------ nealg=FC=

Oh man this game is fun. "Bullet time" was a great idea that has made me look both cool and dweebish. I went up to 32 bit color and it still runs smooth too. IP: Logged |

Got it, finished it, loved it. Only complaints would be not being able to shoot through doors (can't penetrate a wooden door with a Desert Eagle????) and the dream/drugged sequences...why were those there? They were silly. The hallways thing was OK but what about the trails in the void? Just plain out of place if you ask me. One complaint was already fixed though - you can download customizations to allow shooting through doors and even added weapons. There's an MP5 availab el tha is very cool - allows you to hear things you didn't even know were there (like a tile breaking sound when shooting tile). You can also shoot through the bathroom stalls now. I really loved being able to shoot the compressed gas cylinders and have them rocket around the room... great fun! -Stark IP: Logged |

Totally agree about the 'dream' sequences - no reason to be part of the player action, should have been a video sequence if included at all. Am now on my second trip through, experimenting with higher difficulty and different video settings...really, all in all, great game!Biggest complaint here: too pricey at 50$ US. Managed to get it for 40$, though. Still, seems like those days are rapidly disappearing... Though I can still have lots of fun with 20 and 30$ games, as I am not picky on graphics and eye candy as long as the action is good and there are plenty of cheat codes!!!!

Just so you don't think the game was too short, here is a link to a MOD site for MP mods. Dual DE's are pretty nice and a few mods even have dual M4's http://mods.maxpayneheadquarters.com/ IP: Logged |
