I cant tell you guys what a cool game this is. For the first time last night I tried out the Stuka, since an allied advanced was threatening a town south of our airfield. We had a constant stream of Stuka's hitting them near their motorpool. Dropped a 500kg between 2 A13 tanks, destroying one and apparenly killing the crew on the second. I made another pass in to sweep for infantry and noticed a pack, after I got one with my cowl guns the chap manning my tailgun managed to kill another as we pulled away. The physics model isnt as good as SDOE (vehicles dont brake apart), but the rush of flying over a virtual battlefield is just incredible. Any other SDOE alumni playing WWIIOL? I'd like a squadron but would prefer to fly with my old friends from SDOE. IP: Logged |

FalckI drove a tank online this afternoon. I was able to get into a pretty good battle with some other tanks from my side against some armor and Anti-tank guns from the other. A plane would come through and harrass us for good measure. All in all, it was a neat experience. PR=FC= IP: Logged |

I played again today and my brother came over to watch. I even let him give the Tanks a spin. What fun to go hunting in a tank! The game has some bugs though. Today, while driving my Panzer I came across a French Char. I hit that thing harder than Mike Tyson, and it would not stop. Two shots from him though and I was dead! Even with that, and the FR problems, and the slow load times, I had fun. The game has potential, maybe by the time Jet gets it they will smooth out a few more rough spots. PR=FC= IP: Logged |

Say any of you guys want to form an SDOE'er squadron for WW2 Online? It would be nice to play with some buddies. If so lets set up a starting time and a "home base" in WW2 Online. Im going to play 2night for the first time as soon as this patch is done! Its on 27 megs now... IP: Logged |

PR -Chars are pretty accurate, not bugged. They have reaaaaly thick armor. Pretty much the only way to knock out a char is to: 1.) Hit the radiator on the left side - it will eventually overheat, killing the power supply to its turret 2.) Hit the rear of the turret from less than 150yds. 3.) Hit its cannon - obviously only a realistic option at close range. ArgonV - I like server 4, and I only fly axis for now cuz we're generally badly outnumbered, hope to see you on - my handle is Manhigh. Once the mosquito comes into play itll be hard not to fly it There is still a lot of work to be done on this, but its already very fun. Maybe we should form a Screamin Demons squadron, I'd like that a lot Send me an email so we can work out the details. And heres a shot of the bloke who happened to be my first air to air kill, with his engine smoked.

I find the tank combat is more fun than the flight sim part of it, although the planes are done very well if a bit overpowered. If I can stop playing this long enough I will do up a review.. so far its kept me up until 2-3am every night this week (ack!) TS ------------------

FalckSorry buddy, the armor would have to be 15 ft thick to do what this tank did. Surrounded by 4 Panzers within 15 ft each and firing every round (thats 67 AP rounds) into it's side, rear, turret, etc. and it continued to live. The only reason it wasn't moving was that it had become stuck on a fence. Nah, it might have thick armor, but not THAT THICK. Another time yesterday we saw the same Uber tank take on a formation of 8 Panzer's. We were one of 2 to survive. So, not only did it have superior armor, it's gun were also superior. Yeah...right! Like I said, I don't doubt it had thick armor, but believe me when I say, this was ridiculous. Still I had fun. Gotta run, gotta get me a Char! PR=FC= IP: Logged |

Heya Falck... haven't played since the release date though the beta (err... the before release beta, not the current beta known as "retail" ) was certainly enjoyable. the wife and I are in the final stages of buying our first home right now but maybe in a month or so, after our finances settle down, I can persuade her to let me spend $10 a month on WWIIOL - at which point I'd love to squad with ya... like the old days!As for the Char stuff... there is a known "hole" in the security that allows people to hack the tanks into uber tanks. It was discovered in Beta but is still (to my knowledge) not fixed. They say they'll have it cured soon... menwhile you have to live with the cheaters. I can tell you though that early on in WWII the Char was nearly indestructable in head on combat - but it lacked the mobility to prevent beiong flanked and taken out from the side or rear by the PzIII. -Stark IP: Logged |

Yep, been playing this since the day I was able to. (a couple of days after release) Done some multicrew tanking with Wolfhound. Big-time fun!I've just recent decided to try the flight aspects out, due to some disappointments surround the game's performance there. I greatly enjoy playing infantry and trucks otherwise. So far, I've gone axis only. Anyway, if you see me, give me a shout! I'd be happy to multicrew or team up with any of you. BTW, Stark, there's currently no charge for online play and AFAIK, the beta version can be updated to play along side the retail version. IP: Logged |

I am having a ball in the game. There have been some issues concerning the flight model since the planes do not seem to bleed E very much...this has been traced to the way drag is currently modeled and will probably be rectified in the next patch or so. I've been getting into some pretty neat dogfights...they usually start with somebody strafing the ground troops and then another bunch of planes from the other side arriving at the battle with the same idea in mind...then everybody stops strafing and begins fighting for their lives. Apparently, the ground troops get a real kick out of the air battles...some of them just stop and watch them. After scoring one kill at low alt, I felt compelled to do a little victory barrel roll for the boys on the ground . ------------------
