I guess few people are like me, but the few of you who live in the anacronism of enjoying not only the aviation of the early part of the former century together with the modern technology of today and yesteryear, but also the music of the time, and on top of that think music should be a matter of joy, then you have to listen to these lunatics.Unfortunately all their information about the tunes they've recorded is written in Swedish, but it's almost all jazz from the 20s to 40s by people like Cab Calloway and Count Baisie, and all played on synthesizers from the 60s to yesterday (more of the former.) Most of their arrangements are crazy to say the least. Songs available from http://members01.chello.se/shotq/sidor/musik/songs.htm All music in MP3 format. Just thought you might like to know. It made my day for sure! _ /Bjorn. IP: Logged |

Hey, JT! Long time no see (write, hear... whatever!) Figure'd you'd like it The Caravan is wonderful. I think my personal favourite is is Cab Calloway's Trickeration (espercially with the annoying GSM phone distortion as the percussive base line.) Topzy is a dream for a Lindy Hop Dancer like yours truly. Tigre Rag is awful, though, but as is described in the text, it was an experiment where every member of the band did whatever part they enjoyed without knownedge of the other band members, and they were all more or less drunk when doing it! Time we shape up that jug past beta stage, eh? _ /Bjorn. IP: Logged |
