My company's newswire had an artical saying both JSF prototypes would be appearing at the PAX River NAS show this weekend, Sat & Sun.

I'll be there Sun.

Don't blame me if you go and the JSFs aren't there!

I attended the Sunday Show.

Only the Lockheed Martin X-35B JSF was displayed. It was buttoned up, none of the mid-fuselage vertical-lift aerodynamic panels were open. The Rolls-Royce (Yakovlev YAK-141) designed swiveling nozzle was in the straight-line flight position. I couldn't determine how the internal nozzle sleeve deflects when the nozzle swivels.

I was disappointed because I was hoping to schmooze with the Boeing people to collect information on the employment situation in Palmdale California. Oh well.

The last time I attended the PAX River show must have been 1977 or so. The event seemed a lot larger then.

This coming weekend is the Lakehurst NJ Show. I may attend.

The Edwards Air Force base show has been the best one I've seen. An overflight of a B-52, C-5, and C-141 in close formation is *gasp*...

Hey, I must be the only one who thinks the Boeing JSF is attractive.

Although, it not as attractive as the Harrier AV-8B+.

The JSF model (~1/10 scale) Boeing displayed at Edward’s AFB, the one with the Black and Gray paint scheme, is good looking.

Seeing the X-32 in full scale might make a different impression.

I also find the Boeing prototype so ugly it's actually quite adorable. Kind of linke a bulldog, really .

Does anyone else think that The Moth would be a proper nickname for the bird?
