What are you excited about that's coming up in the gaming world?

For me, it's IL-2 and MS Train Simulator. I can't wait. I've been reading all the boards about MS Train Sim and looking at all the pics, and wow, it is just so cool. Working crossing gates and all. It's a must have for the kid in me. I loved trains long before I got into airplanes.

Barbie* riding club.........

I like the way that HD2 looks and Battlefield 1942. But ya know they always (most of the time) let you down some how. This is what I feel will happen with IL2 as with CFSII and B-17II. Just have to wait and see I quess...

Duke Nukem Forever, Return to Wolfenstein, and Alone In The Dark # 12,457. No flight sims interest me yet; has to have the right content, no upcoming ones do.

It has been announced today (well, during the night for me anyway) that WW2OL has gone gold. I have high expectations for this one.

I'm also looking forward to IL-2.

Gran turismo 3, metal gear solid 2 and medal of honor 2, Dark cloud, Smugglers run 2, The getaway for the PS2.

For the PC, WW2online, IL-2, the medal of honor stuff, HD2, and trains could be really fun.

If it was a couple of days agoe I would have said Eurofighter Typhoon, but since I got it yesterday I guess I can't say that anymore . Just played it a bit and it seems to be a throughly immersive flight sim/wargame.

On the long term, the thing I am waiting for is World Sports Cars, which should be released by Christmas (but most likely won't), and also Il-2. Other than that, not much else.

Man O Man! Why train sim? Surely it will be like the long boring flights to your mission in a flight sim except with no skill involved in the control of the thing. Do you not just speed up and slow down? Maybe if you could park a big truck on the track, or a herd of cattle. That would be fun.

Oh PR!! You really don't know what you're missing. Either that or its a cult thing I guess... I have a model railway in the basement, nearly finished. Loads of fun! Another good train game is Railroad Tycoon II - finally a sequel that lives up to the standard of the original (*cough* B17 *cough*)

There is as much a market for a Train Sim as there is for Civ Flight Sims. Same (or similar) idea.

WOW! Look at those BNSF pics in Pete's first post!! Incredible.. I'm a little surprised at the graphics though, they look a tad old considering the other stuff coming out in the 'class of 01'.

My first impression on Semmern's latest pic: "Nice old TGV, must be entering Gare Montparnasse, but they put too much trees in there".

Then "uh-oh, that's not the SNCF paint scheme".

Did anybody here ever take this one?

Pity we can't just import those choo-choo's into the Game. I can see rockets leaving the under-wing pylons of my Typhoon now. Imagine a low level strafing run on a N.Y. subway.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! (That'd be maniacal laughter)

Pachy - When I was in Tours I stayed in a hotel right next to the train station, and it was incredible. Trains coming and going every minute, and even an early morning TGV. My dad and I got up extra early to go see it and take lots of pictures. I think the locals thought we were either nuts, or perhaps terrorists. We just smiled, snapped the shots, and left. Beautiful train station, Tours.

As for the train, is that the high speed Acela or Acera or whatever it's called that Amtrak is putting in on the East coast of the US?

You can play MS Train Simulator and IL-2 over the net right? I mean, I can set the 12:15 for Berlin alight in my IL-2?

About a week from this Tuesday or Wednesday we should be getting MS Train Sim in US stores! Man I can't wait. I've been waiting for this since last summer... that's right, summer 2000!

Getting pretty excited now, anticipation is very high.

Most stores are showing from June 5 - 8 as an arrival date.
