I just saw a preview and it had a 109 (I am very very sure) shooting another plain (couldn't tell, 'twas explodin') And also scenes of He111's being shot up really bad then blowing up. Dang, how much of the war will they film other than Pearl Harbor?

Yeah Aladar, it covers Pearl Harbour, Battle of Britain and the Doolittle Raid.
story line looks a bit bodgy, but with all the flying scenes and the footage of one of the Vals crashing, i think it'll be the 3rd or 4th time before i start paying attention to the story

Looks like 'Dinosaur' might have a contender for number one place in you favourite movie list

Actually what I said was that Pearl Harbor had the largest studio approved budget ever. Titanic still cost a lot more to make but was significantly over budget.

Psi, don't believe everything you hear or read in the news.

Movie industry sources have estimated that Titanic ended up costing $200-$240 million dollars to make. Since it grossed $1.8 billion no one really cares what the exact number is and the studio hasn't said.

The "budget" for Pearl Harbor was $135 million. There may have been a cost overrun but the publicity and distribution costs are still coming in so the studion hasn't offered a final figure yet. I do know that certain film shots were eliminated to keep it within budget. The "budget" for Titanic was $120 million so Pearl Harbor is, like I said earlier, the highest "budgeted" movie ever. But you would have heard if it's "actual" cost was the $100 million over budget that it would take to pass Titanic in actual cost. It took two studios to finance Titanic and James Cameron had to agree to work without salary and give up his percentage to get the studios to cover the overrun. (Don't worry, he kept the video rights plus the studio gave him a "bonus" of several million dollars after it hit the $1 billion mark.) You never heard anything like this for Pearl Harbor.

I'll put up my information against your local news reader any day. My guess is his writer doesn't understand the difference between "budgeted" costs and "actual" costs.
