With the re-release of FW-190s and ME-262s into the hands of rich bastards the world over (well, I exaggerate), I am wondering when some company is going to start ME-163 re-production.I'd love to have a Komet, as it would offer good climb, and generally a wild ride. Only its utility as a cross-country machine, and the relative danger of T- and C-Stoff fuels, would be criticized by the General-Aviation Press and the Bonanza set. IP: Logged |

There is a company who is going to make some, just with a less dangerous engine.IP: Logged |

I'd just like to go high and fast, even if only for a short time. Flying in near space would be even better.Of course this would require a pressure suit... Basically, I'm just a nut. IP: Logged |

Hey, everyone called me crazy when I went mad for a Komet for B-17 II, they said "Why do you want to fly and then blow up on landing?" I just like that plane. Here is the site for the replica. http://www.xcor-aerospace.com/ IP: Logged |

Aladar,Thanks. The SDOE Komet(s) is a blast to fly. In 10 years the USAF will be flying (Boeing) rocket powered Fighters that launch from the ground and fly in to low earth orbit (if they aren't doing this already). I'd like to see some private citizens "play" in this arena. IP: Logged |
